Jack is a perfect bartender...with enough charm in his tone to keep you so captivated you barely notice the extraordinary mixing skills he brings to the table (as in the Thai basil wonder he whips up while regaling us with tales of San Francisco in the old days). But Jack is more than a bartender. He's also a green renaissance man, cycling down Los Angeles' crowded streets to work so he can be "one less car."
He enjoys working at Akasha, one of Los Angeles' hottest new restaurants, because of their commitment to sustainable agriculture, organic ingredients and community involvement. And he loves the fact that by working together, Akasha and TRU, a natural fit if there ever was one, have together planted more trees than any other bar in the country.
